There wasn’t a great deal of difference between the. overall Sisters real estate market in June 2010 compared to June 2009. The increase in Active listings (from 196 in May 2010 to 216 in June 2010) echoed a similar increase last year, as does the impressive increase in sales (from seven in May 2010 to 16 in June 2010).
Meanwhile, the median price for Active Single Family Residence listings increased again (if only slightly) from $479,000 in May to $479,500 in June. Contrast that to the median price for the Single Family Residence listings that sold in June ($215,000) and you can see the challenge that higher-end Sisters sellers are facing.
As for Active Residential with Acreage listings, they also spiked in June (from 85 in May to 97 in June), However, the median price for Active Residential with Acreage listings decreased again in June (from $659,900 in May to $649,000 – compared to a two-year high of $795,000 in September 2009).
