Well, the winter breather didn’t last long: In January, the Sisters residential real estate market was extremely active. Sales were up among both Single Family Residential (SFR) and Residential with Acreage (RW) listings, with a total of 14 sales in January, compared to nine in December.
The number of Contingent sales was also up – way up — from 3 in December to 12 in January. And with 11 Pending sales, it looks like February will be busy too.
Of the eight SFR sales, all but two were below $250,000 (and nothing sold for more than $475,000). Among RW listings, all six closed sales were between $300,000 and $450,000.
Although we’ve come to expect a decrease in overall listings during the winter months, the number of Active Residential listings actually rose a bit in January (by one), with the addition of five new Residential With Acreage listings.

Median Sales Price: $392,475 for Active SFR listings
$534,950 for Active RW listings
$225,000 for the SFR listings sold in January
$315,000 for the RW listings sold in January
Single Family Residential: 9.7-month supply (84 sales in the previous 12 months)
Residential with Acreage: 8.3-month supply (72 sales in the previous 12 months)
Least-Expensive Single Family Residential Active Listing: $112,000
Least-Expensive Residential with Acreage Active Listing: $134,900
Most-Expensive Single Family Residence Active Listing: $2,590,000
Most-Expensive Residential with Acreage Active Listing: $4,500,000
