June is often one of the busiest sales month for the Sisters real estate market, and this year, that certainly proved to be the case. The total of 21 Closed Residential sales (11 Single Family Residential listings and 10 Residential with Acreage listings) was almost double that of May.
Included in the mix were a number of higher-end listings. In fact, all but two of the 10 Closed RW sales were above $400,000, and there was a million-dollar RW sale in Black Butte Ranch. It was the first million-dollar sale in Sisters this year (by the way, there are now two more Pending).
Meanwhile, the median price of Active listings continues to creep back up to rather daunting levels — with the median price for Active SFR listings at $449,000 and the median price of Active RW listings at a whopping $798,500. To put things in perspective a bit, six months ago, the median price for Active SFR listings was $399,800, and the median price for Active RW listings was $687,000. That’s quite a jump!
It would have been nice to see an increase in inventory, but that didn’t happen. In June, there were a total of 148 Active SFR & RW listings –- with only six options listed below $200,000. Last year at this time, there 168 Active listings.
